THE SECOND TIER

With primary season now officially in swing, and tonight’s Fox Republican debate the focus of punditry for the rest of the week, it is time to wrap up my introduction of the Dems, with only enough space for short thumbnails of the second tier candidates (though I will revisit them in the future). That’s a shame because in five-element story terms the second tier candidates are actually the most interesting. Why? Because they are good examples of how, without proper balance, your story’s greatest strengths can end up being your greatest weakness.
